This project involves an addition to an existing two-room heritage cottage, inspired by the iconic brick shotgun tower at the end of the street and the rich history of its original Italian owners. The design focuses on materiality and texture, using honest materials that remain visible and unobscured. A north-facing courtyard will be encased in a beautifully crafted brick colonnade, creating a harmonious blend of old and new while enhancing the cottage's charm and functionality.
